1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using QR Seva ("the Service"), operated by VD Cottage LLP ("we", "us", "our"), a limited liability partnership registered in India with its registered office at 151, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. Service Description

QR Seva provides a platform for restaurant owners to create and manage digital menus accessible via QR codes. The service includes menu management, QR code generation, template customization, and public menu hosting.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You may sign in using your email/password or via Google OAuth
  • One restaurant per account unless otherwise authorized
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the service
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Misrepresent your restaurant or menu information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users' accounts
  • Use the service for any purpose other than restaurant menu management
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service without permission

5. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you upload (restaurant information, menu items, images). By uploading content, you grant QR Seva a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and serve that content as part of the service (e.g., on your public menu page). This license terminates when you delete the content or your account.

6. Account Termination & Deletion

  • By you: You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, all your personal data, restaurant information, menu items, and uploaded images will be permanently removed within 30 days.
  • By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for more than 12 months. We will attempt to notify you via email before termination when possible.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service downtime.

8. Limitation of Liability

QR Seva is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months, or INR 1,000, whichever is greater.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QR Seva from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

10. Email & Communication Policy

QR Seva sends only transactional emails necessary for account operations, including OTP verification codes, password reset links, and account security notifications. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance spam policy and do not send marketing, promotional, or bulk emails.

We comply with applicable email regulations including the CAN-SPAM Act (USA), GDPR (EU), and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India). Our infrastructure includes automated bounce and complaint handling, recipient address validation, and suppression list management to ensure responsible email delivery.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.

12. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
